necessary, as soon as Civil Administration is restored, for complementary legislation to be enacted in Hong Kong to enable such companies to re-register in Hong Kong.

It will be necessary to ensure that provision is made in the Colonial legislation to enable re-registration to take place simultaneously with the Board of Trade's order removing a country from the United Kingdom registration ec as to avoid a period during which a company is on neither

register.

Copies are enclosed of correspondence from certain of the companies concerned.
